John McCulloch was until 2011 CEO of the oneworld global airline alliance. Prior to that he held senior management positions in HSBC and Cathay Pacific Airways, based mainly out of Hong Kong and Japan before emigrating to Canada. He has a law degree from Cambridge University and now works as a contract airline consultant based out of Vancouver, as well as volunteering with various not-for-profit organisations and local charities. His current focus is on live theatre with Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Society, PALS Adult Service Society (PASS) which serves young adults living with autism or other developmental disabilities, and their families, and helping build the Masters program for Field Hockey Canada.

John joined the Y. P. Heung Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2025.
