Paul Dangerfield is a seasoned leader with a lifelong commitment to education, community, and public service. With 40 years of professional experience including 20 in the Canadian military and 20 in executive leadership roles within British Columbia’s post-secondary system, Paul brings a depth of insight and purpose to his role on the YP Heung Foundation Board.

Throughout his career, Paul has worked across Canada and around the world to help build strong, resilient communities. Most recently, he served as President of Capilano University, leading the institution through a period of growth in support of student success and a focus on inclusion and accessibility, health and well-being, and deep community engagement.

His passion for creating opportunities extends beyond education, with long-standing support for a wide range of associations such as the United Way of British Columbia, and numerous arts and cultural organizations.

Paul is proud to contribute to the YP Heung Foundation’s mission of enriching lives through education, culture, and community-building, guided by a belief in the power of giving to create lasting impact.

Paul joined the Y. P. Heung Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2025.
